I’m perfectly capable of looking after myself, but the gruff — and undeniably sexy — mountain man insists on tagging along for my safety. He’s a man of few words, which is fine since I’ve got enough for both of us… until I accidentally suggest we share my tent.
I nearly die when he declines, saying he wouldn’t get any rest. Left alone with my thoughts, I’m just about to relieve some tension when I hear the tent zipper.
“Looks like neither of us is getting much rest tonight.”
